Bruce has worked in the electricity and gas supply industries for more than 27years. In this time he has developed extensive expertise in Engineering, Regulatory and Government Affairs Management, Project Management, and Business Management.

Bruce commenced his career with the then State Electricity Commission of Victoria working in the distribution and retail segments of the industry before moving into various management roles. He worked on the Victorian Government’s privatization of the electricity industry in the mid 1990s and joined Eastern Energy as a project manager looking after such diverse issues as Y2K and GST. Bruce stayed with the company through its many changes of name and ownership managing its Government and Regulatory affairs functions. This period included preparing the company for Full Retail Contestability in all Australian States as well as several international mergers and acquisitions.

From 2005 Bruce was at the forefront of developing the Victorian and National Smart Metering programs until he left TRUenergy in mid 2008 to co-found Energy Makeovers and pursue his personal mission of making a significant positive impact on climate change. Energy Makeovers’ vision is to become Australia’s leading “one-stop-shop” provider of energy efficiency services for residential and commercial buildings.

Bruce is highly regarded as a leader in the Australian electricity industry and was elected by his industry contemporaries as a founding member of the peak national energy market Executive Committees. Bruce is a highly respected agent of change specializing in business transformation and is a sought after speaker and presenter at national and international energy conferences.

  • Graduate Diploma (Innovation and Service Management) – RMIT University
  • Master of Applied Science (ISM) – RMIT University
  • Diploma of Financial Services – AFMA
