Director, Energy Makeovers Pty Ltd

Bryn’s working life has mostly been with large global corporations including ExxonMobil, PwC Consulting and IBM. His roles have included general management, strategy consulting, business development, marketing and distribution, commodity trading, planning and project management. He has had “hands on”, bottom line responsibility for a range of marketing/trading businesses both in Australia and internationally.

Bryn’s strategy consulting skills were developed with PwC Consulting, assisting a range of large national and international clients, including Yallourn Energy /China Light and Power, National Australia Bank, Pertamina, Shell International, Diageo, BHP and Country Energy. His professional interest in sustainability and climate change began in 2002 when he worked on the development of a climate change offering for PwC Consulting’s Energy & Utilities practice.

In 2003 he assisted a major brown coal generator in Victoria to develop a range of plausible climate change scenarios within which they could test their investment intentions.

While employed by IBM, Bryn was a key industry influencer and contributor to the development of the Victorian “smart electricity meter” project; resulting in legislation in 2005 mandating the deployment of smart meter technology. After joining Ecos Corporation in 2007, Bryn led the development of a “whole of household” energy efficiency and micro renewable generation service offering for Easy Being Green Pty Ltd in NSW.

In June 2008, Bryn co-founded Energy Makeovers Pty Ltd. Energy Makeovers’ vision is to become Australia’s leading “one-stop-shop” provider of energy efficiency services for residential and commercial buildings.

Bryn’s formal qualifications, both obtained from the University of Western Australia, are:
