Energy Makeovers has launched an Energy Rating service in Victoria to assist building designers and architects to meet compliance standards and add value through energy efficient design recommendations.
The service will build on Energy Makeovers’ experience in rating existing houses and providing costed energy efficiency recommendations with quantified benefit estimates, including modelling of how energy efficient design features can affect the star rating of the house and thus the amount of energy required to heat or cool it (see Roadmap sample report).
Energy Makeovers’ strengths are in the ratings of renovation plans for existing homes. Leveraging Energy Makeovers’ network of trusted, specialised suppliers and installers of energy efficient solutions, improvements can be costed and implemented if desired.
Energy Rating is priced at $295 inc GST for initial energy rating of plans and $88 inc GST per additional hour for consultation involved in improving energy rating and final energy rating. Alternatively, a Roadmap assessment can be conducted if th existing building needs to be energy rated and improved.
