The Victorian Government’s solar rebate that launched late in 2018 was so popular that it was fully booked by April 2019 and the campaign was paused until 1st July 2019.Call us Enquire online
Once the rebate applications open again the rebate will expand to include tenants, not just homeowners, but it will also include solar batteries!
The Andrews Government has pledged a $40 million battery rebate program under their Solar Homes Initiative. It will enable half price solar batteries and installation for (up to the value of $4,838) 10,000 Victorian households.
There isn’t any information about this on the Solar Victoria website yet, but Daniel Andrews has provided information about this pledge on his website – back in September.
“This will save households with an average 11kwH battery around $650 a year on their electricity bills in addition to savings they are already making with solar panels.
Under the scheme, homeowners can get a 50 per cent rebate for installation of a battery storage unit, capped at $4,838 in the first year and tapering down to $3,714 by 2026 as the price of batteries comes down.”
“This is about modernising our electricity grid to help us transition to a more affordable, reliable and clean energy system.”Call us Enquire online
